Finca Flor del Aji: an agroecological farm located in Corozal, featuring a variety of free trees and vegetable crops.
Introduction
Zacha and Carlos are the dynamic couple behind Finca Flor del Ají, an agroecological farm nestled in the lush hills of Corozal, Puerto Rico. Their land is filled with fruit trees, vegetable crops, and a deep respect for nature. The couple has created a welcoming space where visitors and volunteers can learn, explore, and experience the beauty of sustainable farming in action.
Background
Finca Flor del Ají began as a shared dream to live in harmony with the land and promote responsible agriculture. Zacha and Carlos believe in growing food that is clean, natural, and rooted in community values. Their farm follows agroecological principles, working with the rhythms of nature rather than against them, producing high-quality fruits, vegetables, and pasture-fed poultry.
Beyond cultivation, the finca serves as an educational space where people can learn about soil regeneration, organic farming methods, and ecological balance. Through workshops and local collaborations, they aim to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices and reconnect with Puerto Rico’s agricultural heritage.
Finca Flor del Ají stands as a vibrant example of how passion, teamwork, and respect for nature can transform a piece of land into a thriving ecosystem and community hub.
