Levantando proudly celebrated the close of 2025 with its annual Fundraiser Picnic, held on December 28, 2025, at Finquita Verde in Ceiba. This signature event brought together supporters, farmers, families, and community members for a meaningful day of connection, education, and fundraising in support of our mission.
The picnic featured a vibrant farm-to-table dining experience, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Guests enjoyed a delicious menu that included beef sliders, a wide variety of pincho meat skewers, potato salad, pasta salad, soup, fruit skewers, and an abundance of fresh vegetables. The meal reflected Levantando’s commitment to supporting local agriculture and promoting sustainable food systems across Puerto Rico.
Beyond the food, the event offered an immersive farm experience. Attendees had the opportunity to interact with resident animals—including sheep, goats, ducks, and chickens—creating memorable moments for both children and adults. Feeding baby lambs and enjoying close encounters with the animals provided a unique, hands-on way to learn about regenerative farming practices. Meanwhile, the farm’s honeybees worked tirelessly pollinating crops, offering a powerful reminder of the interconnectedness of nature and the importance of environmental stewardship.
The annual fundraiser picnic is more than just a celebration, it is a vital part of Levantando’s efforts to raise funds and awareness for small farmers across Puerto Rico. Proceeds from the event directly support our programs, which provide shared equipment, resources, and education to strengthen local agricultural communities and promote long-term sustainability.
